Gold Miner Vegas is a very complete action game in which you will find a wide variety of game modes, characters, obstacles and tools. The main objective of the game is to earn the amount of money mentioned at the beginning of each stage. In order to do so you will need to use different kinds of tools, like dynamite, standard claw, spike claw, laser claw and super claw. You will also find a lot of bonuses like food, strength drinks, good luck items and obstacles like broken walls, Tasmanian devils, bones, lava monsters, water mines, spirits and thieves. The game comes with three main story modes, Hawaii, Australia and Vegas. As you clear levels and modes you will be unlocking other modes and characters, for example, if you clear Hawaii you will unlock Hansel, clearing Vegas will unlock Julie and the hard mode, clearing the hard mode will unlock expert mode.

Among the characters to unlock you will find Julie a cute girl that will help you, Hansel your rival and Joey Joe Joe the Crook who you will have to catch before he catches you.

The game also comes with a two player mode.

Croixleur is a nice, simple (and repetitive) action game by "Souvenir Circ." where your goal is to play as Lucrezia Visconti the "Vermillion Whirlwind" and climb the top of a tower, exorcising it of its demons while competing against your rival, Francesca Stororo the "Moonlight Princess". You are given fifteen minutes to start with and only one weapon. The game gets replayability through its different modes (to test your abilities at surviving, chaining attacks, score attack, etc.), branching paths in the main game (which reward you with new weapons or gallery accomplishment medals) and different strategies, as you can carry up to four weapons into battle and combine each of their abilities into single combo strings. At rare intervals, Francesca will fight at your side.

You can hold down a button in conjunction to pressing the attack button to use a weapon's spell or special ability, and you can also use Lucrezia's Whirlwind special for the cost of 100 coins; she is temporarily invincible while spinning and it basically acts as a "Bomb Stock" (if you want to call it that). It features good graphics and particle effects as well as good music and solid gameplay with an emphasis on speed-running-- there just isn't enough of anything to go around (other than action). This is a video showing some of the Main Game and Endless Mode. Enjoy.

The game featured 28 stock cars and 14 tracks including a stunt arena for free roaming. Cars come in three fuel variants; electric, glow (internal combustion) and special. The players driving ability will place them into various categories so that they race against other cars of similar capabilities. These capabilities are classified in categories which are: Rookie, Amateur, Advanced, Semi-Pro and Pro. Tracks are also categorized depending on their difficulty to master and win. These categories are: Easy, Medium, Hard and Extreme. Cars and tracks are both unlocked through success in the game's Tournament modes.

Single Race allows 2-4 players on the Console Versions and 2-12 players on the PC Version to RACE On the normal, single-player tracks. Within each race, competitors race to be the first to complete a pre-set number of laps of the circuit. To aid them in this there are a variety of lightning-bolt shaped pick-ups lying around the track. Collecting one of these provides the player with a random weapon varying from oil slicks to Fireworks to batteries that increase your speed for a short period of time. The worse a player is doing in the race, the more likely one of the better weapons will be obtained, and vice versa.

Good graphics and high-quality audio are Mythic Blades' strong points, but don't expect as many combos or special attacks as you find in fighting-game classics. In this demo you can choose only two characters: a weak but fast female warrior and a large but slow Minotaur. Each character has three attack types: a hard blade swing, a weak blade swing, and a kick. You also get a handful of combinations and superattacks, though most of them look nearly identical. Weak characters have the advantage of chain attacks, though they can be blocked. In contrast with the fighting, the visuals are outstanding. With its detailed models, high-quality textures, and robust performance, this game deserves much more varied gameplay. On the other hand, the demo doesn't limit the amount of time you can play. That and the game's superb looks make Mythic Blades a worthwhile download for fans of the fight genre.

Late last month, the side-scrolling shooter Serious Sam: Double D debuted on PC downloadable storefronts and was promptly made available through shadier avenues of the Internet. According to Mommy's Best Games developer Nathan Fouts, pirates had cracked and distributed the game through their own channels within five hours of Double D going up on Steam.

In a post on the Mommy's Best Games blog, Fouts called it "flattering" that there was enough interest in the game for it to be cracked so quickly, but expressed concern about the impact piracy has had on the bottom line. As a result, he pleaded with those who downloaded the cracked version to either buy a legitimate copy or donate directly to the developer through a PayPal button in the blog post.

"Mommy's Best Games is a very small company of passionate developers, but passion doesn't manifest peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on our plates," Fouts said. "We also need money in exchange for our fun games--if we miss out on a few hundred or thousand sales of the game due to pirating it's a BIG DEAL for us." (Emphasis in original.)

Speaking with GameSpot, Fouts said he'd prefer to ask those users to contribute nicely "rather than throw a fit."

"I figure devs complain all the time about pirates, but honestly I wanted this to be more a reminder to pay if you liked it rather than a 'Don't steal my game, you owe me money!' sort of reprimanding," Fouts said.

An Xbox 360 edition of Serious Sam: Double D has also been announced, but it doesn't have a release window.

Wik & the Fable of Souls is a static platformer starring Wik, a bug-eyed creature with an extraordinarily dexterous tongue. Whether you're playing story or challenge mode,

you progress through a series of screens that are filled with coins, gems, enemies, and little green grubs. You have to collect grubs with your tongue and spit them at your

pack animal, Slotham, who slowly moves from left to right at the bottom of the screen. If Slotham reaches the end of the screen before you collect the required number of

grubs, you lose. Luckily you can slow Slotham down by spitting puddles of honey in his path. To collect grubs, you'll have to jump, swing from your tongue, and fend off

enemies that try to carry the grubs away. As if that weren't enough, some enemies can actually kill Wik, so there's the matter of self-preservation to keep in mind as well. With

its charming presentation and challenging gameplay, Wik is an enchanting little game that's definitely worth checking out.
